NPI-201 is a high-activity free radical photoinitiator with long absorption wavelengths (233 nm and 324 nm) and excellent deep-curing performance. It is an electronic-grade product, often used as a higher-specification substitute for 369 in electronic circuit materials, primarily for packaging and bonding applications. It can also be combined with other photoinitiators, especially thioxanthones, for effective curing of colored systems.
Introduction
NPI-201 is an electronic-grade amino ketone produced to a tighter specification than the standard 369 grade, and it is aimed specifically at packaging and bonding in electronic circuit materials rather than at coatings.
The tighter specification is the reason to pay for it. Purity is held at 99.00% or above by HPLC against 98.00% for the standard grade, and for electronic applications the difference is not cosmetic: ionic impurities and batch-to-batch variation matter more in a circuit material than they do in a wood coating.
Physical & Chemical Properties
Light yellow powder. Chemical name 2-benzyl-2-(dimethylamino)-1-[4-(4-morpholinyl)phenyl]-1-butanone. Molecular formula C23H30N2O2, molecular weight 366.51, purity ≥99.00% by HPLC, melting range 110.0–123.0 °C, loss on drying ≤0.30%. Absorption maxima at 233 nm and 324 nm.
Applications
Recommended at 1–3% for electronic circuit packaging and bonding, where the standard grade is typically dosed at 3–5%. It can be combined with thioxanthone photoinitiators for curing coloured systems.
Regulatory status
This is the part to read carefully. NPI-201 is the same substance as 369: same CAS number, 119313-12-1. It has been on the REACH Candidate List since 16 January 2020 and carries a harmonised Repr. 1B classification. A house grade name does not change any of that.
It is positively listed in Swiss Annex 10 at 0.15 mg/kg. It is absent from category V of the German Anlage 14, and because of the CMR gate it cannot use the German non-listed route either. If you are specifying NPI-201 into a European application, work from 369's regulatory position, because that is what it is.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is your minimum order quantity (MOQ)?
MOQ depends on the product and specification. For most chemicals we can supply from 1 kg sample orders up to full container loads (FCL). Contact us with the product name and CAS number for a specific MOQ quotation.
Can you provide samples before I place a bulk order?
Yes. Samples are available for most products — typically 100g to 1kg. Sample fees may apply for expensive products and are usually deducted from your first bulk order. We recommend independent testing of samples before committing to bulk.
What documents do you provide with each shipment?
Every shipment includes a batch-specific Certificate of Analysis (COA), MSDS/SDS, commercial invoice, packing list and bill of lading. Certificates of origin, REACH/SVHC declarations and third-party inspection reports are available on request.
What is your typical lead time?
Production usually takes 10–20 days depending on the product and quantity. Sea freight to most destinations takes 15–30 days; air freight 5–10 days for samples and small orders. Our five warehouses in China allow fast dispatch of stocked items.
What payment terms do you accept?
We commonly accept 30% deposit + 70% against copy of bill of lading, T/T bank transfer, and Letters of Credit (L/C) for larger orders. Payment terms are confirmed in writing before production starts.
Are you a factory or a trading company?
We are an integrated supplier with three in-house manufacturing plants, supported by five warehouses across China. This gives us direct control over production quality while maintaining a broad product range.
