369 is a high-performance free radical photoinitiator with high initiating activity and excellent deep curing performance. It features long absorption wavelengths of 233 nm and 324 nm, making it especially suitable for colored UV-curable systems. It is commonly used as a direct substitute for 907 and works particularly well when combined with thioxanthone photoinitiators.
Equivalent grades. The same substance is sold by other manufacturers as Omnirad 369, Irgacure 369, Genocure BDMM, Speedcure BDMB, Doublecure 369, Chivacure 169. It is the same CAS number (119313-12-1) and the same chemistry, so a formulation written around one of those grades transfers directly.
Introduction
369 is a high-activity amino ketone built for coloured systems. Its absorption runs to 324 nm, which lets it work under pigment where a surface-acting initiator cannot reach, and it delivers the deep cure that thick or opaque films need.
It is commonly specified as a direct substitute for 907, and the two share a similar role in the formulation. When combined with a thioxanthone such as ITX or DETX, 369 covers the depth while the thioxanthone handles the light that gets through.
Physical & Chemical Properties
Light yellow powder. Molecular formula C23H30N2O2, molecular weight 366.51, purity ≥98.00%, melting range 110.0–123.0 °C, loss on drying ≤0.30%. Absorption maxima at 233 nm and 324 nm.
Applications
Recommended at 3–5%. Best suited to coloured UV-curable systems and to applications where the film is thick enough that surface-only initiation leaves the lower layers wet.
Regulatory status
369 has been on the REACH Candidate List since 16 January 2020 and carries a harmonised Repr. 1B classification with an Aquatic Acute 1 entry. That is a longer regulatory history than TPO, which is often assumed to be the most constrained product in this range. Note that 369 is nevertheless positively listed in Swiss Annex 10, at 0.15 mg/kg, because CMR status bars a substance from the non-listed route and the functional-barrier exemption, not from being listed. In Germany it is absent from Anlage 14 category V. If your market is Germany or your end use is food contact, read the position before you specify.
We also supply grades intended as 907 substitutes that avoid the reproductive-toxicity classification. Ask us for the comparison if you are reviewing this part of your formulation.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is your minimum order quantity (MOQ)?
MOQ depends on the product and specification. For most chemicals we can supply from 1 kg sample orders up to full container loads (FCL). Contact us with the product name and CAS number for a specific MOQ quotation.
Can you provide samples before I place a bulk order?
Yes. Samples are available for most products — typically 100g to 1kg. Sample fees may apply for expensive products and are usually deducted from your first bulk order. We recommend independent testing of samples before committing to bulk.
What documents do you provide with each shipment?
Every shipment includes a batch-specific Certificate of Analysis (COA), MSDS/SDS, commercial invoice, packing list and bill of lading. Certificates of origin, REACH/SVHC declarations and third-party inspection reports are available on request.
What is your typical lead time?
Production usually takes 10–20 days depending on the product and quantity. Sea freight to most destinations takes 15–30 days; air freight 5–10 days for samples and small orders. Our five warehouses in China allow fast dispatch of stocked items.
What payment terms do you accept?
We commonly accept 30% deposit + 70% against copy of bill of lading, T/T bank transfer, and Letters of Credit (L/C) for larger orders. Payment terms are confirmed in writing before production starts.
Are you a factory or a trading company?
We are an integrated supplier with three in-house manufacturing plants, supported by five warehouses across China. This gives us direct control over production quality while maintaining a broad product range.
