🎨 Coatings & Paints
Metal driers (cobalt, manganese, zirconium octoate, naphthenates) and photoinitiators for coatings, paints, varnishes and industrial finishes — with COA & MSDS per batch.
Complete Additive Supply for Coating Formulators
Topfine Chemical supplies the two workhorses of modern paint and coating production: oxidative driers (cobalt, manganese, zirconium, cerium and lead naphthenate / octoate systems) and photoinitiators for UV-curable formulations. Both lines carry batch-specific COA and MSDS, and third-party pre-shipment inspection (SGS / Intertek) is available on request.
Driers for Alkyd & Oil-Based Paints
For solvent-borne alkyd, epoxy ester and oil paints, the primary drier is Cobalt Octoate (8% metal in 200# solvent oil), typically dosed at 0.1–0.5% on resin solids. Bi- and tri-metal composite systems improve through-dry: zirconium and cerium octoates are common secondary driers, and Manganese Octoate is the standard cobalt-free surface-direction starting point. Lead naphthenate remains the classic through-dry accelerator for industrial enamels and anti-corrosion paints; lead-free alternatives are available for modern, regulated formulas.
UV-Curable Coatings
For UV systems, selection depends on the cure wavelength and the end use. 1173 (HMPP) is the general-purpose cost-effective workhorse at 3–5% loading; 184 (HCPK) is valued for low-yellowing clear coats; 907 and ITX/DETX thioxanthones cover pigment-loaded systems; TPO and TPO-L are the LED-cure deep-cure champions with excellent photo-bleaching behavior.
Typical Packaging & Logistics
Photoinitiators ship in 20 kg cartons, 25 kg pails, 200 kg drums or 1000 kg IBCs; driers in 25 kg / 200 kg drums with inner coating. Both classes are stored in a cool, dry, dark and ventilated warehouse — our Shanghai, Qingdao, Tianjin, Guangzhou and Nanjing warehouses support FOB, CIF and DDP delivery to EU, US, SEA and other markets.
