907 is a highly efficient free radical photoinitiator known for its high initiating activity and excellent deep curing performance. It is particularly effective in colored systems when used in combination with thioxanthone photoinitiators. 907 is widely applied in PCB inks and other specialty inks, with a recommended dosage of 1-3%.
Equivalent grades. The same substance is sold by other manufacturers as Omnirad 907, Irgacure 907, Speedcure 97, Genocure PMP, UV 907, IHT-PI 907. It is the same CAS number (71868-10-5) and the same chemistry, so a formulation written around one of those grades transfers directly.
Introduction
907 is the highest-activity standard for pigmented and thick-section curing. It combines strong initiation with absorption that reaches to around 305 nm, and it is the grade most often specified for PCB inks and other specialty inks where the film is opaque and the through-cure is difficult.
It is rarely used alone in coloured systems. Combining 907 with a thioxanthone such as DETX or ITX is the standard approach, because the two cover different parts of the spectrum and together they cure both the surface and the depth.
Physical & Chemical Properties
White powder. Molecular formula C15H21NO2S, molecular weight 279.40, purity ≥98.50% by GC, melting range 71.0–76.5 °C, loss on drying ≤0.5%. Absorption around 305 nm.
Applications
Recommended at 1–3% by weight. Particularly effective in coloured systems when combined with thioxanthone photoinitiators. Widely used in PCB solder resist and specialist printing inks.
Regulatory status
This is the part of the data sheet that matters most for 907, and it is the part most often left out. 907 has been on the REACH Candidate List as a substance of very high concern since 16 January 2020, and it carries a harmonised Repr. 1B classification with additional Acute Tox. 4 and Aquatic Chronic 2 entries. It is not listed in Swiss Annex 10, and because it is CMR 1B it cannot use the Swiss non-listed-substance route either. In Germany it is absent from Anlage 14 category V, and the same CMR exclusion applies. So 907 is caught by both routes in both markets: not through a ban, but through a combination of a positive-list absence and a CMR gate. If your formulation uses 907 in a food-contact direction, or if you sell into Germany or Switzerland, this is worth examining before your customer's consultant does.

What is your minimum order quantity (MOQ)?
MOQ depends on the product and specification. For most chemicals we can supply from 1 kg sample orders up to full container loads (FCL). Contact us with the product name and CAS number for a specific MOQ quotation.
Can you provide samples before I place a bulk order?
Yes. Samples are available for most products — typically 100g to 1kg. Sample fees may apply for expensive products and are usually deducted from your first bulk order. We recommend independent testing of samples before committing to bulk.
What documents do you provide with each shipment?
Every shipment includes a batch-specific Certificate of Analysis (COA), MSDS/SDS, commercial invoice, packing list and bill of lading. Certificates of origin, REACH/SVHC declarations and third-party inspection reports are available on request.
What is your typical lead time?
Production usually takes 10–20 days depending on the product and quantity. Sea freight to most destinations takes 15–30 days; air freight 5–10 days for samples and small orders. Our five warehouses in China allow fast dispatch of stocked items.
What payment terms do you accept?
We commonly accept 30% deposit + 70% against copy of bill of lading, T/T bank transfer, and Letters of Credit (L/C) for larger orders. Payment terms are confirmed in writing before production starts.
