1173 is a general-purpose free radical photoinitiator, one of the most mature and widely used photoinitiators in UV curing materials. It offers excellent cost performance and relatively balanced properties, with strong UV absorption at 244, 278 and 322 nm. It is particularly suitable for UV-curable wood coatings and basic/simple coatings at a recommended level of approximately 3–5%.
